Fall 2026 Interest Group

The DS@GT ARC Fall Interest Group is an entry point for Georgia Tech students who want to learn more about applied machine learning, information retrieval, and competition-based research.

Academic pathway

Fall participation does not require course registration. Fall 2026 has an optional one-credit CS 8903 course; ask course staff about registration and Spring credit options. See Academic credit.

Spring research has a separate application and team-formation process. Your Fall task does not reserve a Spring task or team. See Spring research and team formation.

Who is the interest group for?

• Georgia Tech students interested in applied research and collaborative technical projects
• Students with prior programming experience; familiarity with Python and Git is recommended
• New and returning ARC members, including online students

No prior research-competition experience is required.

What happens next?

Ask the Fall organizers about onboarding or catch-up options through the Contact page or the general #applied-research-competitions channel in DS@GT Slack. Late participation must be confirmed by the organizers.
